Mark Your Calendar: 24 November 2007!

The next leg of our event series happens on 24 November 2007 with a workshop on how to make extra cash from your blogs!

“Blogging For Money” features Abe Olandres, the Philippines’ great blogging guru. If there’s anyone who can tell you how to generate income from your blogs- he can. We had lots of fun the last event (last October, but it was for beginner bloggers – Renzie).

This leg is for intermediate- and advanced-level bloggers. So at the very least, you have to have your own blog, or have been blogging for a considerable amount of time when you show up on Saturday.

“Blogging For Money” happens this Saturday, 24 November 2007 at the PowerTips, Inc. Business Center, 5th level of The Podium, along San Miguel Ave. in Pasig City.

Registration fee is Php1500 for the whole day (from 12:00 PM to 8PM). Fee inclusive of use of equipment (PC or laptop), unlimited wi-fi access for the day, materials and snacks. Register now! For details and payment options, call or text (+63918) 937.2147 or (+63916)435.3882 or email us at intermedia.workshops@gmail.com.

Money Talks is for the Filipino Entrepreneur!

Various talks, seminars and workshops about all kinds of alternative money-making activities, right? It can be anything at all, so long as it’s worth everybody’s while.

The whole point? Providing entrepreneurial individuals the means to start their own independent income-generating projects by giving them opportunities to learn new crafts, get in on the latest trends in business and technology, and network with other people just like them.

We’re not asking people to quit their day jobs. We want them to break away from their dependence from a single source of income- which seriously has profound impact at the workplace, but that’s talk for another time (or another blog).

We would like people to take charge of their lives, be proactive, and make the most out of opportunities. By providing venues of learning, support and empowerment, we sincerely hope to get more entrepreneur-types the inspiration to find a project close to their hearts and make it happen.

Here’s a number of talks we’d like to have lined up.

  • Blogging. You can blog for fun, or blog for money. Learn how to position your blog, promote it right, generate a steady stream of views, and finally make some money out of it.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO). It’s definitely hot. Not a lot of people can claim they’re actual SEO consultants, but that only means there’s room for new players, and that could be you.
  • Digital Photography. We’re talking about SLR’s and advanced imagery theoreticals and practicals. Your digital camera is quite the investment, and there are lots of ways for you to maximize its potential.
  • Audio & Video in New Media. Podcasting. Viral Videos. Making Your Own Music. Techonology now has leveled out the playing field, allowing regular folk to have a shot at being an internet sensation overnight, share experiences or just have fun with digital media.
  • Online Retail. Set up your own online store and work your magic. Learn how to set it up from scratch. Learn to promote it well, and watch those orders keep coming in.
  • Internet Marketing. There’s really so much more to it now- from Graphics Design to Web Development, and even SEO, SEM and SMO- learn the newest tricks of the trade to get your message out there to as many like-minded individuals as possible.
  • Digital Graphics. Like it or not, it’s still hot. Learn how to run your own desktop publishing outfit, and how you can make extra cash on the side, or build value for yourself in a growing service-oriented economy.
  • Web Development. As long as people go online, there’s always a need for web developers. Let’s talk about the business side to it- registering names, setting up the architecture and marketing it to a worldwide audience.

Anything and everything is fair game. So long as it isn’t a multi-level-marketing deal, or one of those pyramid scams, then it’s all good. In fact, if you think there’s something we’d like to do for you, get in touch with us, and let’s hear your idea. There’s plenty of action for everybody!
